How to enable Cookies and JavaScript for Internet Explorer
1. To enable Cookies
If you use Internet Explorer v6:
- Launch Internet Explorer 6;
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu;
- Click the Privacy tab and use the slider to select Medium;
-Click on the Advanced tab;
- Tick the Override automatic cookie handling option;
- Select Accept for the First party Cookies option;
- Do the same for the Third-party Cookies option;
- Click ‘OK’ to confirm your selections;
- Click ‘OK’ to close the Internet Options window;
- Shut down Internet Explorer v6;
- Restart Internet Explorer v6.
If you use Internet Explorer v7:
- Launch Internet Explorer;
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu;
- Click the Privacy tab and use the slider to select Medium and then click on the Advanced tab;
- Tick the Override automatic cookie handling option;
- Select Accept for the First party Cookies option;
- Do the same for the Third-party Cookies option;
- Click ‘OK’ to confirm your selections;
- Click ‘OK’ to close the Internet Options window;
- Shut down Internet Explorer;
- Restart Internet Explorer.

- Launch Internet Explorer;
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu;
- Click the Privacy tab and use the slider to select Medium and then click on the Advanced tab;
- Tick the Override automatic cookie handling option;
- Select Accept for the First party Cookies option;
- Do the same for the Third-party Cookies option;
- Click ‘OK’ to confirm your selections;
- Click ‘OK’ to close the Internet Options window;
- Shut down Internet Explorer;
- Restart Internet Explorer.
2. To enable JavaScript
If you use Internet Explorer v6 or later:
- Open Internet Explorer;- Click on the Tools option and from the drop-down menu select Internet Options;
- Select the Security tab found at the top of the Internet Options box;
- From here, click on Customize Level towards the bottom right of the box. The Security Settings dialogue box will then open;
- From the Script option on the drop-down menu, tick the Activate boxes including the one for Java Script Applet;
- Click ‘OK’ to close the ‘Security settings’ window;
- Click ‘OK’ to close the ‘Internet Options’ window.
