Embracing a unique Belle Epoque style from its waterfront location in the historic Audiffred Building, Boulevard makes the most of each and every handsome detail. Pale brick arched ceilings, iron beams, parquet floors, stained glass, and leafy plants dress a dining room that faces three different streets yet manages to remain convivial. Neat and polite servers tend tables populated by diners young and old. At lunch, local business folk come to say "you're hired!" Dinner is quieter with couples canoodling. Despite the popularity and enormous scope of this space, the kitchen maintains excellent consistency in putting forth its widely appealing California-inspired fare. Bowls of crisp-seared yet pillowy gnocchi with rich buffalo short rib Bolognese and fresh Italianburratamelt together with exceeding pleasure. Perfectly grilled wild Coho salmon withpommes fondantesand wilted Napa cabbage highlights the chef's solid technique.
