Built in the 13C on the orders of Agnes, Wenceslas I's sister, this convent of Poor Clare was inspired by Cisterchian architecture. The Convent contains the Chapel of the Virgin Mary, St Saviour's Church, and the elegant presbytery. It was requisitioned by the Hussites who turned it into an arsenal, disaffected on the order of Joseph II, and transformed into low-cost housing before falling into ruin. It was saved from demolition when the National Gallery bought it in 1963.
