Porrentruy : The Michelin guide review
Porrentruy, founded in 1283 by Basel's prince-bishops, was built in the heart of the Ajoie region. It is today a peaceful and attractive town. Residence of the former Basel bishopric's sovereigns from the 16C, the town, annexed during the French Revolution, was the seat of the Mt Terrible district, including today's cantons of the Jura and Berne Jura as far as Bienne.
