The Almudaina : The Michelin guide review

The former fortress of the Wali (Arab governor), the Almudaina, was remodelled in the 14C and 15C by the Kings of Majorca. It is now one of the residences of the King of Spain. Inside, several rooms have been restored and elegantly furnished (Flemish tapestries, clocks, pictures etc). In the courtyard, the carved porches and doorway of Saint Anne's Chapel are one of the rare examples of Romanesque art in the Balearic Islands. The chapel houses a 15C altarpiece.
