West Park : The Michelin guide review

This charming English-style park, laid out at the beginning of the century, stretches across the slopes which overlook the River Manzanares. It contains a rose garden (competition in June), a real Egyptian temple, a cable car giving access to the huge Casa de Campo park and a pleasant promenade, dedicated to the painter Rosales, which forms a balcony overlooking the park. From its café terraces, aesthetes like to contemplate splendid sunsets.
