From the centre of the square there is an unusual view of the façade of St Michael's Church. TheHouse of Juan de Vargas is the house where Saint Isidore the Farmer, patron saint of Madrid, worked. It is worth taking time to stroll through the neighbouring streets, particularly Cordón Street in the direction of Segovia Street. There you will see the tower of St Peter's Church, a rare example in Madrid of Mudéjar art, Moslem art practised on behalf of Christians.
