La plazuela Santa Bárbara is a haven of peace in the old town. This small shaded square has besides been chosen location for recitals and chamber music concerts during the Maria Píta festivals in August. La plazuela flanks the convent of the same name. It has quite austere walls, but nevertheless with a door that surmounts a beautiful Roman beam which represents the weighing of the souls.
