Travel guide Betanzos
Betanzos
: The Michelin guide review
Located at the end of its ría, the port of Betanzos, which is now silted up, was the trading centre for the prosperous Las Mariñas valley, supplying La Coruña with all its wheat. Three simple but richly adorned Gothic churches in the town centre reflect this prosperity. The district around them, with its sloping streets lined with glass-galleried houses, has retained its old charm.
