It is the upper part of the Ramblas, closest to Catalunya Square and is named after a fountain in the same street. According to tradition, if you drink the water, you are sure to return to Barcelona. It is not unusual in this pedestrian section of the Ramblas to come across small groups discussing the most unexpected subjects, the most heated arguments being reserved for football or politics.
