This harmonious square (1840-50) at the heart of the Barri Gòtic is made up of uniform buildings with Corinthian pillars and arcades. Two of the street lamps here were designed by the young Gaudí. A popular place for a drink (though be mindful of the tourist traps here), it fills up in the evening with students and musicians, creating a lively atmosphere until the early hours.
