Council Palace : The Michelin guide review

The Council appeared in the 14C. as a commission of the Catalan parliament made up of two representatives from each class whoose main job was to collect tax. The palace is a huge building with three floors, built at the start of the 14C originally in the Gothic style, then later changed. The façade on Sant Jaume square, was built around about 1600 by Pere Blay, the leading Catalan architect at the time, and is a beautiful example of Renaissance architecture.
