This church stands majestically on the site of the old great mosque. Its construction lasted until 1712 and many artists were involved in building it such as José Granados and Leonardo de Figueroa. The monumental interior contains the most attractive Baroque retables in Seville; A foretaste of what you will see: the door of the chapel of the Holy Sacrament that the inspired Cayetano Acosta designed as a gigantic retable dedicated to the exaltation of the Holy Host.
