Built between 1758 and 1881, the famous white and yellow arenas of Seville have the oddity of never being completely round. The most interesting inside part is the Puerta del Príncipe, the doorway through which bullfighters leave after their triumphs. Posters, paintings, busts, costumes and various mementoes recalling the world of the corrida are on show in the Museum. In front of the arenas, where the Opera Carmen tragically finishes, stands the bronze statue of Carmen.
