Travel guide San Fernando
San Fernando : The Michelin guide review
Located near Cádiz, San Fernando developed at the same time as its neighbour and by the 18C had become such an important trading centre and military base that the Admiralty was established here in 1766. It was also here that the Spanish parliament approved Spain's first constitution (1810-11) during the French occupation. This historic role earned San Fernando its name, bestowed upon it by King Fernando VII, and its official status as a “town”.
