Pampaneira : The Michelin guide review
Although Pampaneira is teeming with tourists, it is probably still the prettiest and most typical village in the Alpujarras. Its whitewashed houses have retained their traditional terrao, with a mortar covering known as launa made from a base of grey clay. In the old days the terrao were places where people would stop and chat, but they are now used for drying or storage. Weaving workshops continue to produce traditional rugs known as jarapas.
