Ulriksdal Castle star : The Michelin guide review

Between 1639 and 1644 Hans Jakob Kristler this Dutch Renaissance-inspired palace in an attractive location in a small bay off the Baltic. The main building had sculpted doorways and humpback roofs, and independent wings on each side. Circa 1720, Carl Fredrik Adelcrantz gave the palace its Baroque air. The interior decoration was reworked partly in the 19C under the reign of Charles XV, and partly under Gustav VI Adolf, who occupied the palace. His lounge was furnished by Carl Malmsten. The outhouses can also be visited.
