Djurgården : The Michelin guide review

An ancient royal hunting ground, Djurgården is a 4km by 1km island, separated from the rest of the city by the bay and Djurgårdsbrunn canal. It has for centuries been a place of recreation. Its western end (nearest the city) has well-kept gardens, restaurants, museums, the Gröna Lund amusement park and the renowned Skansen open-air museum. The rest of the island is a vast park popular with those who enjoy outdoor activities.
