Royal Theatre : The Michelin guide review

Pure lines, harmonious proportions and delicate blue and white decor make this Baroque theatre a decorative masterpiece. You will admire the complex wooden mechanism designed by Donato Stopani. In 1791, the architect and landscape designer Louis-Jean Desprez added a ballroom. Under the reign of Gustav III, a patron of the arts who founded the Royal Academy of Music and Royal Opera in 1773, the theatre enjoyed its golden age. In summer, opera and ballet are still performed here.
