Apartments : The Michelin guide review

Baroque decoration is predominant througout these apartments, in spite of the changes made since. The rich stucco decoration of the majestic staircase is the work of Italian master Giovanni Carove. Other renowned artists have also left their mark: Hedwig Eleonore's fine ceremony room designed by Tessin the Elder and completed in 1683, and the superb library of Queen Louisa Ulrique, a fine example of Gustavian style by Jean Eric Rehn. Only the official apartments are open to the public.
