Lejre Experimental Centre : The Michelin guide review

An amazing experience awaits visitors in the heart of the island of Sjælland as they are invited to observe and take part in the daily life of a prehistoric Iron Age village. Not only does this park, created in 1964, feature a reconstitution of our ancestors' habitat, but it also invites visitors to mimic their daily gestures (manufacturing tools, raising animals, preparing meals, etc.), to wear costumes of the era and take part in their meals. Countless activities await adults and children alike. Experimental archaeological work can be visited on the site.
