TOURISM
Carl Jacobsen, owner of the Carlsberg breweries, was a great art lover, with a soft spot for antique sculpture. He handed his collection to the State who, in 1897, opened a Glyptotek (gluptos means stone engraving in Greek). It contains several commissions made by Carl for Rodin from 1900 onwards, tas well as collections from his son Helge, which centre on the Impressionists and their successors (there are 32 Gaugins here!). There are also some donations from the Carsberg Foundation.
