Cuisine modern

Menu: 385DKK - Carte: 390DKK/475DKK

Trendy hotel restaurant with terrace, inspired by a French brasserie. Old wood beams and colourful, contemporary furniture blend together nicely. European cooking displays Scandinavian touches.

      Pros

      nice seating good winelist

      Cons

We order filet and fish and both main courses do not fit our taste - angus filet with too much fad (I was told it is a special danish cut) and fish with a strange taste We had to pay for both dishes full price

      Pros

We've been going to Salt on and off since it first opened and have always liked the setting of the place in a very old, converted wharehouse on the harbour front.

      Cons

Unfortunately, we have witnessed the decline of this once very good restaurant to what it is now - a below average hotel restaurant. It is a great shame because the setting is fantastic and it used to live up the setting with some very competent food. However, our recent experience was not good. The food was very poorly cooked - over seasoned pork and hopelessly overcooked beef. Starters were better and showed a little imagination - rabbit for one and roast scallops served with a pumpkin broth. However, I really think it is now time to put this place out of its misery and exclude it from the next issue of The Guide.
