Covering 26ha, Laranjeiras Park is both a zoo and public garden. The lower part includes the rose garden; there are enclosures for nearly 2 500 animals, many of which are exotic species. Note that the dolphinarium can only be visited during shows. A children’s facility provides educational activities for vistors aged 4-13. For an overview of the site, take the cable car or the small train through the gardens. The park has a picnic area as well as a grill-restaurant.
