The Estrada do Lumiar runs through a district of fine residences, alongside the Quinta de Monteiro-Mor estate, a vast property with two palaces. One of the palaces has been converted into a Costume Museum and the other into a Theatre Museum. There is a pleasant restaurant in a pavilion near the Costume Museum.
