Leça : The Michelin guide review
After the first crusade, the domain of Leça do Balio was granted to the Hospitallers of St-John-of-Jerusalem, who had come from Palestine probably accompanied by Count Henry of Burgundy. Leça was the founding house of this Order (now the Order of Malta), until 1312, the date on which its seat was transferred to Flor da Rosa.
