Szeroka Street star : The Michelin guide review

The hub of Jewish Krakow’s commercial and religious life from the 15C to the 19C, the street is today the epicentre of Kazimierz and teems with tourists and traffic. In the courtyard of the Alef restaurant is the old Popper synagogue founded in 1620 by rich banker and merchant Wolf Popper, a cultural centre since 1965. The short side of the square to the south is formed by the Old Synagogue. Opposite is the Jordan Palace, named after its wealthy former residents, also called the Landau Palace.
