Palace of Bishop Erazm Ciolek : The Michelin guide review

Composed of two Gothic residences, this palace has a Renaissance portal surmounted by a cartouche twinning the royal eagle with the letter S (for Kng Sigismund) and a fine Gothic window. Since October 2007 it has been the setting for a magnificent museum collection. Several ground floor rooms are devoted to the Orthodox art of the old Polish Republic. Eight rooms upstairs display fine examples of 12C-18C Polish art, admirably contextualised in this sober and contemporary museum environment.
