So called when the New Lutheran Church was constructed, this building was completed in 1633. Today the church belongs to the Amsterdam University. The visitor should not be surprised to find it reminiscent of a warehouse, since the city council insisted that the building resembled the Verguide Pot, a warehouse that was its forerunner, where the Lutherans from Germany were accustomed to gather from 1600 onwards.
