Smaller than Madame Tussaud's Waxworks in London, this museum is equipped with an audio-animatronic system that recreates scenes and achieves remarkable effects. Those evoking Amsterdam's golden age and the artists living in it (Rembrandt, Vermeer, Jan Steen) are particularly successful. The cylindrical rotating model showing the town in the 17th Century should not be missed; and the museum holds a final trump card: the view of the Dam from the big window on the 4th floor.
