De Dageraad star : The Michelin guide review

These 350 labourer's houses were built between 1919 and 1922 by Michel de Klerk and Piet L. Kramer, famous architects of the School of Amsterdam. The development of this quarter, designated a historic monument since 1970, was driven by a real estate association run by the socialist diamond worker's cooperative, which was called De Dageraad, or "the Dawn". The facades have decorative detail and each building is different to its neighbour.
