TOURISM
Set out over two levels in a neo-classical building (the former Nederlandsche Bank), this museum is named after an eminent art historian, who was at the University of Amsterdam in the 19th Century. It contains very fine collections of antiquities from the Near-East (reconstruction of a tomb), from Egypt (funerary masks), from Ancient Greece and from Cyprus (reconstruction of a chariot from the 8th Century B.C.), as well as Etruscan and Roman artefacts.
