      Pros

      Nothing.

      Cons

Rude, offensive behavior from the wait staff. This place was terrible – stay away!!! Food was mediocre at best (I ordered the lamb) but more importantly, the waiter was unbelievably rude and dishonest – a complete jerk (and that is being too kind). I do not drink alcohol and since I was cold, I asked for a cup of hot water and subsequently asked for a refill. I was charged 6 Euros for two cups of hot water and when I questioned the bill, the waiter said he had to charge me for something because I was too cheap to pay for wine with dinner!! Essentially, telling me he didn’t think I was spending enough money for dinner. Seriously?? I would have been fine paying for the hot water had I know I was going to be charged but there was no upfront verbal or written disclosure. More importantly, the way he handled the situation was incredibly boorish, offensive and unacceptable. Unfortunately, this restaurant can get away with this kind of behavior. There is no recourse for the customer. I walked out of that restaurant upset and angry. If I hadn’t experienced it first hand, I would almost find it hard to believe. In the US, he would have been fired. I guess the rules of engagement are just different in Amsterdam. I can only hope that this review will make someone think twice before stepping foot into this restaurant. There are plenty of other options in the area and no one should ever be subjected to the treatment I experienced there.
