Museo di Castelvecchio : The Michelin guide review

Designed by architect Carlo Scarpa, this up-to-the-minute museum housed in the venerable Castelvecchio provides an exhaustive inventory of Veronese painting from the 12C to the 16C: frescoes by local painters, paintings by Stefano da Verona, Pisanello, Giambono, Carlo Crivelli, Mantegna, Carpaccio and the Bellinis, both Giovanni and Gentile. A section is devoted to Veronese artists from the Renaissance: Morone, Liberale da Verona, Girolamo da Libri and Veronese, plus some Venetian artists.
