Equestrian Monument to Bartolomeo Colleoni : The Michelin guide review

Andra Verrochio created this equestrian statue depicting a proud mounted warrior, his fierce demeanour and spirited steed making for a magnificent spectacle, further enhanced by the bulky plinth on which it stands. After the artist’s death, Alessandro Leopardi (1465-1523) completed the casting and pedestal, finishing the project in 1496.
