Church of San Giacomo di Rialto : The Michelin guide review

According to tradition, this is the oldest church in Venice: the story goes that the church was founded to mark the establishment of a trading outpost on the Rialto islands by three Paduan consuls on 25 March 421. What is certain is that is was built at the end of the 11C near a busy market, a scene which remains unchanged to this day. Aside from its clock, note (inside) its columns of Greek marble and the Venetian Byzantine capitals.
