Museo delle Porcellane : The Michelin guide review

A double flight of stairs leads to the delightful villa of the Casino del Cavaliere, which was built in the late 17C for Cosimo III de Medici, and now houses the Porcelain Museum. The first rooms contain principally French pieces, including two Sèvres services that used to belong to Elisa Baciocchi. The second room is dedicated to Viennese porcelain from the 18C and early 19C, with pieces brought from Florence by the Habsburg-Lorraine family. The third room is given over to German productions (Frankenthal, Meissen, Augsburg).
