Musée régional : The Michelin guide review
The regional museum displays works that date back to the Byzantine and Norman periods, and works by local artists, including a polyptich by the great Sicilian artist, Antonello da Messina. You can also see paintings by Caravaggio, dating from his visit to Messina in 1608-1609: the master of chiaroscuro greatly influenced the local artists.
