At the heart of the Forum Romanun, at the foot of the Curia (senate house), the rostra still stand, a stone structure from where politicians would harangue the crowds. It was here that Cicero proclaimed his famous discourses... prior to his head and hands being exposed here after his assassination on Ceasar’s orders.
