Forum of Trajan Worth a journey

I - 00187 Roma
This vast forum is not to be missed. It was laid out by Apollodorus of Damascus and inaugurated by Trajan, in 113 A.D. You can see two of the best remains of Ancient Rome there: Trajan's Column whose 100 scenes retrace, in full detail, the emperor's campaign against the Dacians; and Trajan's markets, these 150 perfectly-preserved shops, that the Via Biberatica runs along, and that may give you the illusion of travelling back to Ancient Rome's everyday life !
