Travel guide Reggio Calabria
Reggio Calabria : The Michelin guide review
Lying on the Straits of Messina, Reggio is a modern town which was completely rebuilt after the devastating 1908 earthquake. The town, whose surrounding area produces citrus fruit, flowers for the perfume industry and nearly half the world production of bergamot, is mostly visited for its busy port, from where ferry services operate to Sicily. However, if you’re passing though the town it’s worth stopping to visit the archaeological museum which is home to the famous Riace Warriors.
