Scrovegni Chapel: frescoes by Giotto : The Michelin guide review

Around 1310 Giotto decorated the walls of this chapel with 39 frescoes depicting the lives of Joachim and Anne, the Virgin and Christ: the Flight from Egypt, the Judas' Kiss, the Laying in the Tomb are the most famous scenes in this collection of exceptional unity of execution, dramatic power and harmony which make it the apogee of the artist's work.

Opening hours

Accessible to people of restricted mobility - Visiting: Mar-Oct 9am-9.45pm; rest of the year 9am-7pm. Closed on Jan 1, May 1, Dec 25 and 26. It is advisable to book at least 1 week in advance.

Muestra excelente de frescos medievales: intensa fuerza expresiva y de composicion de las pinturas. Hay audiovisuales que explican en detalle el contenido. Hay que reservar turno en internet/teléfono Imprescindible
