The island of Capri is a sparkling jewel set amid the neon-blue crown of the Mediterranean Sea. Spend a day on the island and explore its unblemished coastline, Roman ruins, colourful gardens, and designer shops.

Begin at the phenomenal villa of Dr. Axel Munthe, a Swedish doctor whose famous bookStory of San Michele recounts his time on Capri. Built from Roman ruins, the villa's shady terrace affords stunning vistas over the Mediterranean Sea.

Continue to Capri town and stroll along cobbled streets lined with stylish boutiques and chic restaurants. Admire the main square's pretty church from an open-air café and select souvenirs from a range of handicrafts–delicate clothes, ceramics, and jewellery made from coral and gold.

Before returning to the mainland, enjoy some free time for independent sightseeing, strolling on the beach, relaxing in a restaurant, or admiring the colourful Gardens of Augustus.
