This cathedral from the 13 and 14 C is noteworthy for its facade made up of alternate rows of green and white marble, by Matteo da Campione, one of the maestri campionesi who spread the Lombardy style through Italy. The interior will not disappoint you, with a splendid altar decoration, a chapel for Queen Theodolinda adorned with attractive frescoes and the famous iron crown of the Lombard monarchs which Pope Gregory the Great offered to Theodolinda.
