Built in 385 AD by an order given by Saint Ambrose, Bishop of Milan. During the High Middle Ages, and later, during the Romanesque period, few structures were added to the Paleochristian building... and Bergognonne added his own fresco to the vault in the 15th C. Wonderful concerts are held here nowadays.
