Excursion to Cinque Terre Villages

Head to Cinque Terre, a stretch of rugged coastline named after the five fishing villages perched above the sea. Ease your way into the village way of life as you amble through piazze, walk down Via dell'Amore (Love Path), and enjoy the endearing homely atmosphere of the cafés.

The Cinque Terre villages are refreshingly untouched by modern life, with few cars and distractions other than walking from one village to another, admiring the Italian charm and dazzling coastline.

You'll take the coach to Monterosso al Mare, the largest of the five villages where you'll be free to explore on your own before taking the train through the vineyards and olive groves to Manarola. This village boasts the Via dell'Amore, so called for its romantic vistas over the Mediterranean Sea below. A 20-minute walk then takes you to Riomaggiore, the last of the Cinque Terre. Continue to the town of La Spezia by train where your coach will be waiting to take you back to Milan.
