Fermo
: The Michelin guide review
Overlooking the sea and surrounding countryside, Fermo was once a prosperous Roman colony. The town experienced a golden age during the Middle Ages and Renaissance period, when many of the splendid churches and monuments that can still be admired today were built. Fermo's traditional craft of shoe-making is still an important industry for the modern town.
