Lisburn : The Michelin guide review

The town is located in the middle of Ulster's linen-producing region, and throughout the 19C supplied half of all the linen woven. In 1707, Lisburn was destroyed by a fire that only spared the Assembly Rooms, set at the top of the market square. From 1873 to 1885, its Member of Parliament was Sir Richard Wallace, owner of the collection that bears his family name in London. His Lisburn residence is a copy of Hertford House, Wallace's London home, and faces the park entrance.
