Kilmainham prison : The Michelin guide review

The old Kilmainham prison is a place of remembrance symbolising English oppression and the Irish spirit of resistance. Most nationalists were imprisoned here between 1792 and 1924. Souvenirs, photographs, letters and press cuttings, exhibited in the modern gallery, retrace the countless incidents and rebellions during this period. The tour includes the central pavilion and chapel, where an audio-visual display retraces the prison's history.

Accessible to people of restricted mobility - guided visits (1.15hr including a 25min video) Apr-Sep: 9.30am-5pm; Oct-Mar: 9.30am-4pm, Sun 10am-5pm (last admittance 1hr prior to closing time). Closed Dec 24-26.

lieux très riche en document pour la visite on est accompagne d'un guide qui parle anglais avec un fort accent(il faut etre très bon en anglais pour bien comprendre)qui est passionné

pas de possibilité de location audio en plusieurs langues
