Escape from the hordes of tourists around the harbour in Póros Town and climb the hill dominated by the tall bell-tower of the church. In less than fifteen minutes you will find yourself in a labyrinth of steps and alleyways lined with houses where every window seems to be observing your ascent. At the top you can watch in peace the endless coming and going of caiques between Póros and Galatás. Also worth a visit is the typical fishermen's district in the east of the town with its cafés, fish market and tavernas decorated with naive paintings.
